The manufacturing process for silicone one way valves is a complex procedure that requires close attention to detail and precision at every step.
Mold Design& Mold Making
The first crucial step is mold design, where a detailed plan is created for the shape and dimensions of the valve. This is followed by mold making, where the physical mold is created to produce the valves. Our company, YEJIA, has a professional engineering team and advanced molding making and inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and consistency for molds of custom silicone one way valves.
Silicone Molding
Once the mold is made, the silicone molding process begins. There are two main methods for molding silicone one way valves: compression molding and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) injection molding. Compression molding involves placing a pre-measured amount of silicone material into the mold, which is then compressed under high pressure and heat to form the final product. LSR injection molding, on the other hand, involves injecting liquid silicone rubber into the mold under high pressure and heat, which then cures into the final product.
Slit Cutting
After molding, the valves undergo a slit cutting process to create a small slit to allow air or fluid to flow in one direction only. YEJIA has developed an automatic punching production line to improve production efficiency and reduce defective rates.
Quality Control
Quality control is a critical aspect of the manufacturing process to ensure that every silicone one way valve shipped to clients is 100% qualified. YEJIA has invested in automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment, which detects any defects or imperfections in the valves such as bubbles or irregularities in shape or size.
