YEJIA Helps Cirkul Overcome Leakage Challenges with Custom No Drip Cross Slit Valve

Background: The Urgent Needs of an Emerging Brand

In mid-2018, Cirkul, a rising U.S. water bottle brand, sought to enhance its product competitiveness by improving the design and mass production capabilities of a core component—the silicone no drip cross slit valve. However, the initial flat-designed cross slit valve faced challenges in precise assembly positioning, resulting in inadequate sealing, which directly impacted leak-proof performance and user experience. After extensive research, Cirkul reached out to YEJIA, aiming to leverage our LSR injection molding technology and precision manufacturing expertise to overcome this technical bottleneck.

Challenges: From Structural Design to Mass Production Acceleration

During the initial discussions, YEJIA's team quickly identified the root cause: the original flat-structured silicone cross slit valve tended to shift during assembly, making it difficult to maintain a stable seal. We proposed an optimized "three-dimensional positioning structure"— adding snap-fit grooves and support ribs on the valve edges to ensure precise assembly fixation. The customer highly recognized this solution and entrusted YEJIA with the development of mass production molds.

To meet Cirkul's urgent market launch schedule, YEJIA internally coordinated resources and reduced the sample lead time by 30%. Testing confirmed that the new structure significantly improved leak-proof performance while maintaining the desired flow rate. Satisfied with the results, Cirkul promptly initiated the first mass production order.

Breakthrough: Establishing an Industry Benchmark with a Fully Automated Production Line

As market demand surged, Cirkul required an increase in daily production capacity from 50,000 to 300,000 pieces while maintaining strict cost control and quality standards. YEJIA's technical team proposed a fully automated punching solution, but the soft and easily deformable nature of silicone made it difficult for robotic arms to grasp the material, leading equipment suppliers to hesitate.

Faced with this challenge, YEJIA engineers took the lead in tackling the technical hurdles, committing to bearing the development risks of the equipment. Collaborating closely with suppliers, we repeatedly fine-tuned the parameters and innovatively designed a flexible suction gripper and visual positioning system. After six months of dedicated efforts, China's first fully automated silicone valve punching production line was successfully implemented, achieving 100% cut inspection, a 99.8% yield rate, and a 15% reduction in unit costs, truly delivering on the promise of "quality enhancement and cost reduction."

Results: From a Single Component to Long-Term Strategic Partnership

The successful development of the no drip cross slit valve laid the technical foundation for Cirkul's water bottle sales growth. Thanks to our efficient response and innovative capabilities, YEJIA continued to support Cirkul with the development of other silicone components such as silicone bottle sleeves, silicone duckbill valves and water bottle sealing rings, ultimately becoming a key partner in Cirkul's global supply chain.
